About Me

My Proofreading Experience
For a little over three years, I have been a freelance proofreader for several independent authors. During this time I have proofed over 200 novels, novellas and short stories from several different genres, a science book and workbook, and a financial freedom workbook. Some of these projects were one-timers, but I have multiple returning authors who have trusted me with their work time and time again.
My Past Experience
What experience do I have that helps with my proofreading? One of my first jobs was in the PR Department of a hospital system where my job included writing articles, developing ads, brochures, newsletters, programs, forms, magazine articles and directories. This job quickly led to becoming a PR Specialist, which added signing off on every written word going to print, as well as designing and implementing ad campaigns and special programs and incentives for all hospital staff.

Attention to Detail
I only take on one project at a time, so your work will get all of my attention. I keep meticulous notes on each project, which is crucial when there are multiple books in a series.
Reasonable Rates
My rates start at $.002 per word for final proofreading. This rate assumes that your work has already been through the copyediting stage. If it has not, your per-word rate could be more. After going through a sample of your work, I will give you a definite cost for your project.
Quick Turnaround Time
Since I only take on one assignment at a time, there is nothing to distract me from your project. I will always give you a definite timeframe for completion.
